Binta Yugawara is a "Bodz" or Bomber Kid, in the city of Atamu, who dreams of defeating his hero, Smash Kintaro. While in the city, he battles using a pog like game system, against several other Bodz, including Banji Chihara, BJ, and a man by the code name, "X."Hiroyuki Takei (of Shaman King fame), is the supervisor for this series. All artwork is officially drawn by Kato Gaito, who later helped assist Takei with "Jyuki Ningen Jumbor." The series was canceled after 3 chapters and never met the intended 197 pages announced in the first chapter. Neither Shueisha nor Takei have ever officially mentioned this series since it was canceled.

A terrorist group has declared independence on the South Pole, and they have placed extremely powerful nitrogen bombs off many coasts. They plan to take revenge on the world, by forcing them to live briefly in fear and then die. The US tragically failed to defuse the bombs. There are three of them off the coast of Japan, set to explode in 10 days. Luckily, the Japanese bomb disposal team has a powerful resource.
That resource is a little genius girl, Machida Machiko. She's looked after by Aranagi Nagito, a trainee bomb defuser. She's made a pact with him, and with the leader of the bomb disposal program, to clear out the bombs and clean up the world. After certain events in their first defusing operation, though, it looks like all they'll have left to use is a defusing program written by Machiko. Mikoto Hiiragi is a high school student with special "blood abilities"...He is a "strange blood" (more specifically, a blood type V!).
Blood type V owners are known as "sorcerers of life". They are a very wanted type...and Mikoto Hiiragi didn't even dream what (or who!) was tracking him (to hunt him, of corse)!
What turns it more dangerous is that not only "common" people want "strange blood"'s owners blood, but also other "strange blood"s possessors as well!
As if that wasn't bad enough, scientists are offering a reward to the person who gives them every type of blood there is! (so they can find out what the "strongest" blood type is).

Note that this original 1949 manga supplies only part of the plot for the recent Metropolis movie, and does not feature Rock, whose role in the film was adapted from Phoenix, Nextworld and other Tezuka manga.
